Presentation

This is SPIS-GEO project web site. It is private and thus only accessible to the members of the consortium working on the project. The delivery page is the only one that is accessible by ESA, the others are only accessible to consortium members.

The web site is composed of the following pages:

  • The Initiation page that gathers all documents issued by ESA and the consortium
  • The Planning and Deliverables page that summarizes the initial planning of the project, the milestones and the deliverables
  • The Management page contains all documents related to the project management
  • The User Requirements page contains all documents related to this phase of the project
  • The Design and Architecture page contains all documents related to this phase of the project
  • The Development page contains all documents related to this phase of the project
  • The Validation page contains all documents related to this phase of the project
  • The Delivery page is where all deliverables will be uploaded
  • The Communication documents

Project objectives

The main objective of the SPIS-GEO project is to offer, on the basis of existing SPIS, a version of this tool adapted to engineering applications, easy to use and where the level of expertise needed to operate the software and perform a mission support for a spacecraft in MEO/GEO is reduced.

From the user interface point of view, the main issue of the project is hence to provide a simplified and the most adapted user interface for engineering uses.

From the numerical models point of view, the objective of this study is to adapt this software to the requirements originating from the past experience of the SPINE community and more generally the users of SPIS in the frame of GEO and MEO charging.
